Chicken tetrazzini
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- whipping cream - 1 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- chicken broth - 2 c
- slivered almonds - 1/4 c
- cooked chicken, cubed - 3 c
- cooking sherry - 1/2 c
- spaghetti, cooked - 1/2 lb
- cans mushrooms - 2 oz
How to make chicken tetrazzini:
Boil chicken; save water. Cut up in bite size pieces. Melt margarine; add flour, salt and pepper. Add chicken broth gradually; stir constantly until thickened. Add cream and cooking sherry. Heat. Combine sauce with spaghetti, mushrooms, chicken and almonds. Pour into 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
