Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 qts
- bay leaf - 1 item
- dried basil - 1/4 tsp
- whole chicken - 1 item
- whole peppercorns - 6 item
- celery stalk - 1 item
- carrot coarsely chopped - 1 item
- small onion quartered - 1 item
- cup fresh parsley chopped - 1/4 item
How to make chicken stock:
Cut up chicken. Add gibblets, if avalible. Combine all ingredients in a large soup kettle. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Strain.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Whole chicken, Stocks.
