Chicken stew
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- thyme leaves - 1/4 tsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
- poultry seasoning - 1 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- cut up cabbage - 1 qt
- celery leaves - 1 item
- medium onions, quartered - 4 item
- cloves garlic, split - 2 item
- ready to cook chicken - 1 item
- medium carrots, sliced in half - 4 item
How to make chicken stew:
Combine all ingredients. Rinse chicken under cold water; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces; discard bones and skin. Strain broth and skim off fat. Return broth to kettle. Add bouillon. Stir until dissolved. Add vegetables; simmer until tender. Add chicken and simmer 5 minutes.
