Chicken pinwheels
Ingredients/Components
- whole chicken - 1 item
- small diced onion - 1 item
- stick celery, sliced - 1 item
- to 4 large carrots, sliced - 3 item
- recipe Bisquick dough from recipe on back of box - 1 item
How to make chicken pinwheels:
Cook chicken with carrots, celery and onion. Remove bones from chicken and mince the meat. Mash with a fork the cooked carrots, celery and onion. Save the chicken broth for gravy.Prepare Bisquick dough. Roll out dough in a rectangle 1/2 inch thick. Spread mixture of chicken, carrots, celery and onion on dough. Roll dough up as for cinnamon rolls. Cut into 1 to 1 1/2-inch slices and place in a cake pan. Bake at 450° until light brown.
Prepare gravy with broth by using flour and milk. Serve with gravy over the Chicken Pinwheels.
