Chicken egg rolls
Ingredients/Components
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- carrot, grated - 1 item
- egg roll wrappers - 10 item
- can chunk white chicken - 1 oz
- chopped cabbage 1/2 head - 2 c
- chopped celery 1 rib - 1/4 c
- chopped green onions 3 - 1/4 c
- chopped bean sprouts 1/2 can - 1/4 c
- more egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- salad oil in which to fry - 1 qt
How to make chicken egg rolls:
Filling: In skillet, cook cabbage, celery and onions in oil until just tender. Add chicken, bean sprouts, carrot, soy sauce and egg. Mix with hands. Place 1/4 cup filling in center of egg roll wrapper. Roll up, folding in sides to enclose filling. Seam edge with egg. Fry egg rolls, a few at a time, in 375° oil until lightly brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm with soy sauce or other sweet and sour sauces.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Meat.
