Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • ketchup
  • clove garlic, finely chopped - 1 item
  • carrot, grated - 1/2 item
  • ground pork - 1/2 lb
  • cabbage, finely chopped - 1 c
  • egg roll wrappers - 1 item
  • bean sprouts optional - 1 item
  • dash of seasoning salt and pepper - 1 item

How to make egg rolls:

Sauce:4 Tbsp. ketchup1 Tbsp. vinegar2 Tbsp. sugar Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. (Bean sprouts must be boiled for 1 to 3 minutes.) Add an egg yolk, if the batter is not sticking together. Make sure all ingredients are equal through the mix. Wrap mixture in egg roll wrapper. Egg rolls should not be thicker than the diameter of a quarter. (The longer, the better.) Fry in deep oil for 7 to 10 minutes. Make sure the oil doesn't get too hot, otherwise, the inside will be raw. Serve with sauce.

Optional: Pineapple juice can be added to the sauce.
