Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- sliced celery - 3/4 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- carrot, grated - 1 item
- hot, cooked rice - 1 item
- few drops hot sauce - 1 item
- chicken cut up and skinned - 1 (3
- green pepper, cut strips - 1 item
How to make chicken chow mein:
Cook chicken in 4 cups of water for 40 minutes. Drain and take chicken off the bone. Add cubes, onion, carrots and simmer 10 minutes. Add green pepper and next 5 ingredients. Simmer 10 more minutes. Combine 1/4 cup water and cornstarch. Add to chow mein, along with chicken. Serve over rice or can of noodles.Recipe categories: Chicken, Pasta, Main dish.
