Chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- slivered almonds - 1 c
- instant minced onion
- cooked rice - 3 c
- cooked, diced chicken - 3 c
- corn flakes, crushed
- mayonnaise not salad dressing - 2 c
- diced celery, sauteed in butter - 3 c
- 1/2 cans cream of chicken soup do not dilute - 1 item
How to make chicken casserole:
Mix the first 6 ingredients gently, but well. Put in low, flat casserole. Toss corn flakes and nuts in margarine and put atop chicken mixture. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or if made ahead and refrigerated, increase baking time to 1 hour. Serves 10Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
