Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- cold water - 3 c
- pepper - 1 item
- chopped celery - 1 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken broth - 1 c
- sage - 1 item
- poultry seasoning - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- Cajun seasoning - 1 tsp
- cut up chicken - 1 item
- Lipton onion soup - 1 tsp
How to make chicken and rice:
Grease roaster or heavy skillet. Combine and put in roaster the first 7 ingredients in the order given. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, sage and poultry seasoning. Dip each piece in bag with seasoning. Lay each piece of chicken on top of rice mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, covered. Add water at this time if the cooked dish is getting too dry to continue cooking for another 30 to 40 minutes, uncovered.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
