Chewy chocolate cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 3/4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- margarine, softened
- peanut butter chips optional - 2 c
How to make chewy chocolate cookies:
Cream butter or margarine and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and peanut butter chips, if desired.Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not overbake.) Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking and flatten upon cooling. Remove from cookie sheet after about 1 minute. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
