Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- Chocolate Frosting:1 stick margarine
How to make texas sheet cake:
Chocolate Frosting:1 stick margarine3 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 lb. box powdered sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) Bring margarine, water and cocoa to a boil. Set aside. Cream the eggs, sour cream and sugar. Add dry ingredients, then hot cocoa mixture. Pour into greased and floured 12 x 18-inch cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Use the following Chocolate Frosting recipe.Chocolate Frosting: Mix the margarine (melted) and cocoa well. Gradually stir in the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Add the nuts (optional). Spread on cake while warm.
