Ingredients/Components
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust - 1 item
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sugar
- butter - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- corn meal - 1 Tbsp
How to make chess pie:
Soften butter; don't melt. Cream softened butter with sugar; beat well. Add flour, corn meal and eggs. Pour in buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
