  • 9-inch unbaked pie crust - 1 item
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sugar
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • corn meal - 1 Tbsp

How to make chess pie:

Soften butter; don't melt. Cream softened butter with sugar; beat well. Add flour, corn meal and eggs. Pour in buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
