Cherry coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- can cherry pie filling - 1 item
How to make cherry coffee cake:
Topping:1/3 c. flour1/4 c. sugar3 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. cinnamon Cream butter and sugar from cake ingredients list. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift dry ingredients and fold into egg mixture. Spread 1/2 of cake batter into 11 x 17-inch pan (or equal). Cover with 1/2 of cherry filling. Add rest of batter and cover with remaining cherry filling.Cut together topping mixture and work until crumbly. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour.
Note: Blueberry, strawberry or apple filling can be used instead of cherry.
