- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- cold oleo or butter - 1/3 c
- chopped glazed red and green cherries - 1/2 c
How to make cherry cheesecake bars:
Filling:8 oz. pkg. cream cheese1/4 c. sugar1 egg1 Tbsp. lemon juice1/2 c. chopped glazed red and green cherries Combine butter, sugar and flour. Mix at low speed. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Reserve 1/2 cup crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into 8-inch square pan. Bake near center of a 350° oven 10 to 12 minutes.Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, lemon juice at medium speed of mixer until fluffy. Stir in cherries. Spread filling over crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes until filling is set and top is lightly browned. Cool. Store in refrigerator. Makes 36 squares.
