Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 1 c
- sugar - 1/4 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- sour cream - 2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 1/3 c
- finely chopped walnuts or pecans - 1/2 c
- grated lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
- Mix ingredients with a fork
- Slowly beat in 1 1/2 cups sugar
How to make cherry cheesecake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix ingredients with a fork. Firmly press mixture on bottom and sides of 9 x 3-inch spring-form pan.Filling:3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese6 eggs2 c. sour cream2 Tbsp. cornstarch1 Tbsp. lemon juice2 tsp. vanilla extract1 1/2 c. sugar In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese until smooth. Slowly beat in 1 1/2 cups sugar. With mixer at low speed, beat in eggs and remaining ingredients. Beat minutes. Pour mixture into pan. Bake 1 hour or until lightly browned. Turn off oven. Leave in oven 30 more minutes. Remove; cool in pan. Cover and chill.Topping:1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel1/2 tsp. lemon juice Mix ingredients.To serve: Remove side of pan; top with cherry topping.
