  • sugar - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 2/3 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • slightly beaten egg - 1 item
  • Save 3/4 cup of mixture for topping
  • vanilla and/or 1 Tbsp - 1 tsp

How to make cheesecake bars:

Mix ingredients. Save 3/4 cup of mixture for topping. Pat remainder in 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350°. Cool.Cheese Layer:2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened in microwave1 slightly beaten egg1 tsp. vanilla and/or 1 Tbsp. lemon juice1 c. sugar Pour onto cooled bottom layer. Sprinkle with crumb topping. May also top with small pieces of maraschino cherries. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until "set."
