Chocolate caramel bars
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- melted butter - 3/4 c
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
How to make chocolate caramel bars:
Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk in microwave-safe dish and melt, stirring occasionally, until all are melted. Combine cake mix, butter and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk in bowl. Beat 2 minutes. Spread 1/2 batter in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Cool 2 to 3 minutes.Spread caramel mixture carefully over. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Stir 1/2 cup walnuts into batter. Drop by spoonfuls over all. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup walnuts. Bake at 350° for 18 minutes.
