Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 3 oz
- dairy sour cream - 1/2 pt
- butter or margarine, softened - 6 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
How to make cheesecake:
Combine cracker crumbs, butter and 3 tablespoons of sugar; blend well. Assemble spring-form pan using flat bottom. Pour crumb mixture into pan. Press crumbs onto bottom and up sides to within 1 inch from top.Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add 1 cup of sugar gradually. Beat well after each addition. Add softened cream cheese, vanilla and lemon juice; beat thoroughly. Pour into crumb shell; spread evenly. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375°. Note: Top will not be brown and center may appear slightly underdone at end of baking period. Remove from oven. Cool 1 hour.
Combine sour cream, 2 tablespoons of sugar and vanilla. Spread evenly over cake. Bake 15 minutes at 400°. Note: Top will still not be brown. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cool. Chill.
