Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- prepared pie shell - 1 item
- Cheese Topping:1 egg
- salt, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Cheese Topping:1 egg1/4 c. milk1/2 tsp. salt, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Heat oven to 425°. Cook and stir meat until brown. Drain. Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, crumbs, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, onion and green pepper. Turn into pie shell. Spread cheese topping over filling.Topping: Beat egg and milk. Stir in seasonings and cheese. Bake 30 minutes. Stir together remaining tomato sauce and 1/2 cup chili sauce. Pour over pie.
