Ingredients/Components

  • butter, softened - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • all purpose flour
  • egg - 1 item
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • sifted flour - 3/4 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • grated sharp cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • tsp cayenne pepper - 1/2 item
  • Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese - 1 lb
  • medium olives

How to make cheese straws:

Mix all ingredients except olives into a smooth dough.

Mold a small amount of dough around each olive. Bake at 450 for 12 - 15 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
