Ingredients/Components
- milk
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- stalks celery - 2 item
- small onion - 1/2 item
- medium sized carrots - 2 item
- cut up cheese
How to make cheese soup:
Chop carrots and celery; cook in boiling water about 10 minutes, until tender. Chop onion. Cook in butter until tender. Stir in flour. Add milk slowly; stir until smooth. Cook and stir until thickened. Add cheese, vegetables and cooking liquid; stir over low heat until cheese melts. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
