  • milk
  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • stalks celery - 2 item
  • small onion - 1/2 item
  • medium carrots - 2 item
  • cheese, cut up

How to make cheese soup:

Chop carrots and celery; cook in boiling water 10 minutes or until tender. Chop onion and cook in butter until tender. Stir in flour. Add milk slowly, stirring until smooth. Cook and stir until thickened. Add cheese, vegetables and cooking liquid. Stir over low heat until cheese melts. Yields 6 servings.
