Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- chicken broth
- chopped carrot - 1 c
- shredded cheese - 1 c
How to make cheese soup:
In a medium saucepan, combine carrot, celery, onion and chicken broth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetables are done. Combine milk, flour and a dash of salt. Stir into chicken broth mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Add cheese, stirring until melted. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
