Cheesy chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 item
- light cream
- paprika
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 3 c
- chopped carrot - 1/2 c
- Cheddar cheese, diced 1 1/2 c - 6 oz
- cold-pack cheese food 1 1/2 c - 6 oz
How to make cheesy chowder:
In heavy saucepan, cook onion, carrot and celery in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in paprika. Add chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Add the cheeses; stir until melted. Add cream. Blend the flour with the milk; add to chowder. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
