Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- egg whites, stiffly beaten - 2 item
- Cheddar cheese - 1/4 lb
- unsliced bread, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
How to make cheese puffs:
Blend the two cheeses together in a double boiler. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cheese mixture. Dip bread cubes into cheese mixture and arrange cubes on baking sheet. Let stand in refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve, brown cubes in a 375° oven and serve warm with salads or light summer meals. Good!Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Cheese.
