Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cheese
  • grits - 1 c
  • water add more as needed - 3 c

How to make cheese grits:

Bring water and salt to a rolling boil and stir in grits. Cook at high heat for about 3 minutes and add a stick or less of butter as desired. Cut heat and stir in about 1 1/2 cups cheese, more if desired. Cook on very low heat until well mixed and cheese completely melts. Stir occasionally as it is cooking on low heat.
