Cashew chicken
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water
- vinegar - 1/2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- cashews - 1/2 c
- chicken breasts - 1 lb
- sesame oil - 1 tsp
- cooking sherry - 1 tsp
- snow peas - 3/4 c
- chopped ginger - 1 tsp
- or 4 fresh mushrooms - 3 item
How to make cashew chicken:
Seasoning Sauce:2 Tbsp. soy sauce1 tsp. cooking sherry1/2 Tbsp. vinegar1 Tbsp. sugar1 1/2 tsp. water1 tsp. cornstarch1 tsp. sesame oil Cut chicken into cubes and marinate 1/2 hour. Slice mushrooms. Heat oil in pan. Toss and cook chicken until almost done. Drain oil. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan. Saute mushrooms (you may add snow peas or green peas now). Add ginger and chicken. Stir-fry quickly. Add seasoning sauce. Stir until thickened. Turn off fire; add cashew nuts. Serve.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Meat.
