Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- egg yolks - 4 item
- grated carrots
- nuts - 2/3 c
- cooking oil
- nuts optional - 1 c
- hot water - 4 Tbsp
- can coconut - 1 item
- self rising flour
- egg whites stiffly beaten - 4 item
- Pour into three 9 inch cake pans
How to make carrot cake:
Mix all ingredients, mixing egg whites in last. Pour into three 9 inch cake pans. Bake 30-35 minutes in a 350° oven.Frosting1 lg can Pet milk3 egg yolks1 c. sugar1 stick margarine1 can coconut1 c. nuts (optional)1 tsp. vanilla Mix milk, margarine, egg yolks and sugar. Cook over low heat until thick. Let cool some, then add vanilla, coconut and nuts. Spread onto cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Carrots.
