Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- Crisco oil - 1 c
- eggs beaten - 4 item
- margarine softened - 1/4 c
- finely grated raw carrots - 3 c
- 1 pound box confectioners sugar - 1 item
How to make carrot cake:
Prepare carrots and nuts. Cream together the oil, sugar and eggs. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon and salt, sift into the egg and sugar mixture. Blend together well. Fold in carrots and nuts. Bake in a 9 x 13 greased pan at 300° for 1 hour. Cool and frost.Frosting: Mix together the cream cheese, margarine, vanilla and confectioners sugar until smooth.
