Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 4 item
- vinegar - 1/2 tsp
- self-rising flour
- white Karo syrup - 1 Tbsp
- nuts, chopped fine - 1 c
- Wesson oil
- This makes 3 layers of cake
How to make carrot cake:
Mix all ingredients in usual way. This makes 3 layers of cake. Bake in 325° oven for about 45 minutes.Icing:1/2 c. milk1 c. sugar1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup1 Tbsp. vanilla1/2 tsp. vinegar2 tsp. soda Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil.
