Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 3 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar
- cube margarine - 1 item
- Wesson oil
- mashed carrots
How to make carrot bars:
Frosting:2 c. powdered sugar1 cube margarine1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 tsp. vanilla Combine eggs, oil and carrots in a large bowl and mix well. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Mix all well; spread in two 9 x 13 x 2-inch greased pans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes; cool, then frost.Frosting: Mix well, spread on cooled bars.
Helen Cohen says she added 1 cup chopped walnuts and weighed carrots; she used about 1 pound sliced to cook.
