  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 3/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • unsifted flour
  • brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
  • chopped nuts peanuts, walnuts or pecans - 1 c

How to make grandma's chocolate chip cookies:

Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs; gradually add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well; stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375° oven for 8 minutes or until lightly brown.
