Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- white sugar - 1 c
- cake flour, sifted - 3 c
- box powdered sugar, sifted - 1 item
- box dark brown sugar - 1 item
- sticks butter plus 1 stick margarine, cream well - 2 item
How to make caramel pound cake:
Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar, sifted Cream butter/margarine well. Add sugar. Then add eggs, one at a time. Add in flour, salt and baking soda, alternating with milk. Add vanilla. Mix well after each addition. Bake in tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300°.Frosting: Cream margarine and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar. Apply to cooled cake.
