Caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- light brown sugar
- light Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- unpopped corn - 1 c
- 1/2 sticks oleo - 1 item
How to make caramel popcorn:
Pop and remove kernels. In a heavy saucepan, mix and boil for 5 minutes oleo, brown sugar and syrup. Remove from heat and add salt, cream of tartar and soda. Stir well (will foam). Pour over popped corn and mix well in a large pan. Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Stir once or twice during the hour.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Grains.
