Caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- popped popcorn - 7 qt
- brown sugar - 2 c
- oleo - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- white syrup - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- raw Spanish peanuts - 1 c
How to make caramel corn:
Pop popcorn and remove unpopped corn. Mix brown sugar, syrup, salt and oleo. Boil 5 minutes, then remove from heat. Add vanilla and soda and stir quickly. Pour over popcorn and mix well. Put in cake pans and bake at 250° for 1 hour. Stir 2 or 3 times. When cool, store in airtight container.
