Ingredients/Components
- salt
- brown sugar - 1 c
- oleo - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- medium sweet potatoes - 6 item
How to make candied yams:
Peel and slice potatoes. Mix brown sugar and seasonings; sprinkle over potatoes. Dot with butter; cover. Place over low heat. Cook 30 minutes. Remove cover the last 5 minutes to thicken syrup. Turn potatoes to glaze. Yield: 8 servings.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Side dish, Casseroles.
