Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- water - 1/4 c
- butter or oleo - 1/4 c
- medium sweet potatoes - 5 item
How to make candied yams:
Boil potatoes for 15 minutes; peel and cut in halves. Place in buttered baking dish. Combine sugar, salt, butter and water. Boil 3 minutes. Pour syrup over potatoes. Bake in 350° oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Side dish, Casseroles.
