Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 2 oz
- clove garlic - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 3/4 tsp
- tomato sauce
- Mozzarella cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- ground beef, browned - 1/2 lb
- sausage, browned - 1/2 lb
- loaf frozen bread dough let rise or pizza dough - 1 item
- mushrooms, pepperoni or other favorite pizza toppings optional additions - 1 item
How to make calzone:
Sauce:15 oz. tomato sauce1 clove garlic2 tsp. sugar1 tsp. oregano3/4 tsp. basil Divide dough. Roll into circles. Fill with meat mixture (brown beef and sausage together) and cheeses. Fold and seal edges. Bake 20 minutes. After baked, top with sauce just before eating. Makes 9 to 10 calzones.Sauce: Heat until thoroughly warmed.
