Chicken noodle casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- chicken broth - 1 c
- small onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- celery - 1 c
- grated American cheese - 3 c
- cooked and diced chicken - 3 c
- chicken fat or butter - 2 Tbsp
- cans mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup or 1 can cream of celery and 1 can cream of chicken soup undiluted - 2 item
- dash of celery salt, pepper and Accent - 1 item
How to make chicken noodle casserole:
Cook noodles until tender; drain. Saute onion and celery in butter until tender, not brown. In a large mixing bowl, add rest of ingredients to noodles, onion and celery. Withhold 1 cup of grated cheese. Season with Accent, celery salt and pepper. Toss lightly until thoroughly mixed. Pour into buttered Pyrex dish; sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes. Cover with foil for first half of cooking.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
