Ingredients/Components

  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • can water - 1 oz
  • celery stalks, chopped - 2 item
  • medium head cabbage, chopped - 1/2 item
  • pepper or to taste - 1/4 tsp
  • garlic powder or to taste - 1/4 tsp
  • ground beef, lean - 1 lb
  • can kidney beans plus liquid - 1 oz
  • can stewed tomatoes, chopped well - 1 oz
  • beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in a little water - 4 item

How to make cabbage soup:

In a Dutch oven, brown beef. Add all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 hour. Garnish with parsley. Makes 3 quarts. Simple and delicious.
