Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- paprika - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- sage - 1/2 tsp
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- large cabbage leaves - 8 item
- pork sausage - 1/2 lb
- cream of tomato soup - 1/2 c
How to make cabbage rolls:
Saute sausage, rice and onion together in skillet, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Pour off fat. Cool, and add seasoning and cottage cheese. Drop cabbage leaves into boiling water for about 1 minute; drain. Divide rice mixture into four parts. Wrap each part in 2 cabbage leaves and fasten with a toothpick. Arrange in a 1-quart casserole. Mix soup, milk and sour cream together. Pour over cabbage rolls and bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/4 hours. Yield: 4 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
