- milk - 1 c
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 4 (6
- can cream of celery soup - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- stick melted butter - 1 item
- cabbage, shredded - 4 5
- stick melted margarine - 1/4 item
- cornflakes, crushed - 1 c
- Then mix butter, soup, milk and mayonnaise and pour over first mixture
How to make cabbage casserole:
In buttered dish, mix first 4 ingredients. Then mix butter, soup, milk and mayonnaise and pour over first mixture. Spread cheese over this mixture.Topping:1 stack Toll House or Ritz crackers, crushed or 1 c. cornflakes, crushed1/4 stick melted margarine Mix together and spread over top of casserole and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
