Cabbage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 8 oz
- stick margarine - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- can cream of celery soup - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- bread or cracker crumbs - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
- medium head cabbage, shredded - 1 item
How to make cabbage casserole:
Boil cabbage until tender. Drain and add salt and pepper to taste. Add margarine, sour cream, onion, soup and chestnuts. Put one-half of the mixture in casserole dish. Sprinkle one-half of the cheese and repeat layers. Top with crumbs. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
