Butter pecan ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 2 c
- pkg - 2 3/4
- milk - 2 qt
- butter or margarine, melted - 3 tsp
- cans evaporated milk - 3 1/2
How to make butter pecan ice cream:
Saute nuts in butter, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes or until toasted. Set aside to cool.Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour mixture into freezer can, 1 1/2 gallons or 2 gallons electric or hand freezer. Freeze 10 minutes or until ice cream begins to get thick (remove dasher). Add pecans and butter that is in your fridge. Stir good, then add dasher. Freeze until firm. Pack good with salt. Set for 1 hour.
