Butter baked rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 4 tsp
- butter - 2/3 c
- water - 4 c
- parsley flakes - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- rice - 2 c
- dash of garlic salt - 1 item
- chicken broth can use 4 bouillon cubes in 3 1/2 c
How to make butter baked rice:
Bring water and salt to a boil. Pour over rice; let stand 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water; drain well. Melt butter in skillet. Add rice; saute over medium heat until butter is absorbed, about 5 minutes. Put into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan; pour chicken broth over it. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake, covered, at 325° for 45 minutes. Add some parsley flakes; fluff with a fork. Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Bake, uncovered, for 10 more minutes.
