  • slices white bread - 16 item
  • ham, shredded - 1 lb
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • Swiss cheese, grated
  • eggs, beaten - 6 item
  • milk - 3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
  • pinch of nutmeg - 1 item
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • crushed corn flakes
  • stick melted butter - 1/4 item

How to make brunch casserole:

Remove crusts from bread; cut each slice in half. Put half the bread slices in greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Cover with shredded ham and cheeses. Top with remaining bread slices.

Combine eggs, milk, salt, mustard, seasoned salt, nutmeg and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight. Before baking, combine corn flakes and melted butter. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake in a 325° oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
