Broiled crab meltaways
Ingredients/Components
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp
- seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
- can crab meat - 1 oz
- stick margarine, softened - 1 item
- jar Old English sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 oz
- English muffins, cut in half or more - 6 item
How to make broiled crab meltaways:
Rinse crab meat with cold water and dry on paper towels. Mix top 6 ingredients well and spread on muffins. Freeze for at least 30 minutes. They may be kept frozen for weeks. When party time arrives, broil them until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly brown. They just take a few minutes. Serve hot.P. S. Watch them in the freezer; they seem to disappear. You can leave muffins in halves and serve with soup or cut in quarters and serve as an appetizer.
