Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- milk - 3 c
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 5 c
- finely chopped onion - 3/4 c
- Velveeta cheese, cubed - 1 lb
- garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, crushed - 1/4 tsp
- very thin spaghetti capellini, broken into small pieces - 8 oz
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
In large, 6-quart soup pot, saute onion in butter until transparent. Add chicken broth and spaghetti. Heat for 5 minutes on medium. Add milk, broccoli and garlic. Cook 5 more minutes. Add cheese.
