Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- stick margarine - 3/4 item
- water - 2 c
- Velveeta cheese - 3/4 lb
- paprika - 1 tsp
- dash of salt and pepper - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- frozen broccoli, chopped - 1 pkg
- large can evaporated milk - 1 item
- onions and/or mushrooms - 1 item
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
Boil 2 bouillon cubes in 2 cups water. Add broccoli and cook 15 minutes. Saute onions and/or mushrooms in margarine. Mix flour into cold milk and evaporated milk. Cook with sauteed mix until thick. Add sliced Velveeta cheese. Stir until melts. Add broccoli. Stir on low heat until thick (about 20 minutes).To Thicken: You can add 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 1/2 cup water.
