Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 7 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 5 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- Velveeta cheese - 1 lb
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- frozen broccoli, chopped - 2 pkg
- small can mushrooms, sliced - 1 item
- thin noodles - 12 oz
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
Combine margarine and onions; saute in soup pot. Add water and bring to boil. Add noodles and salt; boil 3 minutes. Add broccoli and garlic powder; boil 4 minutes. Add milk and cheese. Do not boil. Cook until cheese melts. Add mushrooms and pepper. Cook slowly for a few minutes. Serves 12.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
