Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 7 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 5 c
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • Velveeta cheese - 1 lb
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • frozen broccoli, chopped - 2 pkg
  • small can mushrooms, sliced - 1 item
  • thin noodles - 12 oz

How to make broccoli cheese soup:

Combine margarine and onions; saute in soup pot. Add water and bring to boil. Add noodles and salt; boil 3 minutes. Add broccoli and garlic powder; boil 4 minutes. Add milk and cheese. Do not boil. Cook until cheese melts. Add mushrooms and pepper. Cook slowly for a few minutes. Serves 12.
